The restaurants listed here have been recommended by guests staying at Charles House Guesthouse which is only a five minute walk to Windsor town centre.

There are loads of other restaurants and cafes and if you find a hidden gem, please let me know so I can add it to this list.

Windsor Grill

Windsor Grill is a short stroll from Windsor Castle and not that long a walk from Charles House Bed and Breakfast, with a menu to match an unpretentious and elegant interior. The finest steaks around, cut from Aberdeenshire 35 day dry aged beef, along with rare-breed meat and a superb range of fish and shellfish. Slate-coloured walls, gilt-framed paintings and leather seating give an atmosphere of dark glamour. Classic creations from the cocktail bar give reason to linger a little longer after dinner or pop in for an early evening drink.

A carnivore's delight. Rules and regs are for others: eat as much or as little as you wish. Try Chef Patron David Wilby’s specials, Rose veal from Home Farm, Highgrove estate to Iberico Black Leg acorn fed pork, Fresh crab from Portland Head in Devon, Scallops from the west coast of Scotland.
