Heathrow Airport Bus Services
Travelling to Windsor from Heathrow Airport
Fast, convenient transfers are available between Heathrow's terminals. Terminals 2 and 3 are a short walk from each other. Terminals 4 and 5 are served by free trains and buses.
The Green Line 703 provides a new fast and direct link between Bracknell, Windsor and Heathrow Terminal 5.
First Group's bus service 8 operates a direct service between Heathrow Terminal 5 and Windsor town centre with departures up to every 30 minutes. Journey time is up to 1 hour.
First Group's bus service 7 operates up to every 10 minutes between Heathrow Terminal 5 and Slough. Change at Slough onto First Group's bus service 4 for Maidenhead, operating up to every 30 minutes. Total journey time is up to 1 hr 15 minutes.
First Group's bus service 9: Slough to Heathrow is a new fast bus link connecting Windsor, Slough and Heathrow Terminal 5. It starts just after 4am and runs seven days a week, every 30 minutes Mondays to Saturdays and hourly on Sundays. The service 9 also links with service 8 to form a circular service, calling at Slough, Heathrow Terminal 5, Staines, Egham, Windsor and Slough.
All services use modern, air conditioned buses with space for luggage. They operate seven days a week, from early until late.
Journeys can be paid for using the First Bus app or by making a contactless payment when boarding the bus.
Express Coach Services
Green Line operates an hourly coach service between London Victoria Coach Station and Windsor, with stops at Hyde Park Corner, Kensington High Street and Hammersmith. Services continue beyond Windsor to Legoland and Bracknell. For timetables and route maps, visit www.travelinesoutheast.org.uk.
Windsor is served by two train stations, Windsor and Eton Central and Windsor and Eton Riverside. Windsor Central is about a 5 minute walk from Charles House and Windsor Riverside about a 10 minute walk.
Great Western Railway operates services between London Paddington, Reading and Oxford, as well as destinations across South Wales and the West of England. Change trains at Slough to catch the branch line service to Windsor and Eton Central. The journey from London takes between 25 – 50 minutes depending on stopping patterns and connections.
South West Trains operates direct services from London Waterloo to Windsor and Eton Riverside station. The journey time from London is approximately 55 minutes.
